Don't shoot the Alpaca
My first time experimenting with GameMaker Studio 2. I learned a lot and created a small, random platform-shooting game. Well, to call it a game is a bit of an overstatement, but it is a thing you can play.
There was no real plan I was simply about seeing what I could make. Adding the shooting sound effect led to a more visceral shooting animation. My wife suggested that I create an alpaca in pixel art and add it to the game; doing so ended up becoming the focus of the little project.
The lesson here is that it is always worth trying things, no matter how strange they may seem. Also, listening to your wife is always a good idea.
